Celebrate!
We are in Week 6 of Project You. Whoop it up! That’s right, celebrate yourself.
We don’t do that enough as adults and especially as women. So I am giving you permission to celebrate all that you have accomplished over the last few weeks.
You decided on your goal, committed to yourself, planned, acted, assessed those actions, and now you need to celebrate your wins.
Big or small, even if you have not reached your goal. Especially if you have not achieved your goal, celebrating your small wins along the way is positive reinforcement for your brain that even though it may be challenging, you are doing it. You are making progress.
Even better, keep a written log of your wins along the way; that way, you have evidence to look back on that you can overcome the obstacles that arise.
I go through a simple exercise as I’m falling asleep at night; I go through my day and count my wins and all of the things that went right. (Way better than counting sheep if you ask me.)
The bottom line, the celebration step is just as important as all of the other steps.
If you are still working toward your goal, you are in the rinse-and-repeat phase of steps 4, 5, and 6, and that is okay. If you keep taking those steps and don’t quit, you will reach your goal.
If you need to talk through it, you know where to find me. Use the link above to schedule a consultation call.
